Video has captured the tense moment the cruise ship was struck by 40ft waves out in the open ocean.
The itinerary was traveling from New York to the Bahamas on a Caribbean holiday when it encountered wild weather.
A man who worked on the ship started filming from his porthole on the fourth deck to capture the stunning sight.
Crew member Rich Baker said: “At three different times during my contract we experienced huge waves. This is one of those times. I had a front row seat.”

I have no idea how this cruise ship is not tipping over but this is amazing
As the ship forged through the water, it rose and fell dramatically with the waves.
At certain points the window was completely submerged by the ocean, revealing how violently the ship was being rocked.
During the video the worker could be heard saying: “That’s amazing. I have no idea how this ship is not tipping over but this is amazing.
“Oh and um my window’s leaking so there’s that too.”

One viewer wrote: “How were you not scared? This video gave me a mini heart attack!”
Another shared: “I would be terrified if I was on a ship, in a storm, and my window was pouring water.”
It remains unclear which cruise operator this ship belonged to.
A different video captured the dramatic view from a cruise ship that was hit by a hurricane.

Anthem of the Seas was sailing from New Jersey to Bermuda in September last year when it was hit by Hurricane Hermine.
The tropical storm brought with it 90mph winds and monster waves.
Video has emerged from the 14th deck in the Solarium, which showed a view from the front of the ship.
At one point a giant wave crashed into the side of the ship, as passengers could be heard on the video exclaiming at the sight and force of it.
