The entertainment giant is adding another new ship to its fleet, which will be ready by 2022.
Disney’s new vessel adds to an existing order of two cruise ships, to be completed by 2021 and 2023.
All three luxury liners will be built at Meyer Werft shipyard in Germany.
The new cruise will weigh 135,000 tonnes, with capacity for at least 2,500 passengers.

There will be 1,250 cabins on board, the same number carried by the other two new ships.
This is slightly bigger than the newest of Disney Cruise Line’s existing vessels.
Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy were launched in 2011 and 2012.
The names, designs and itineraries of the new fleet all remain top secret, but they’ll all run on clean-burning liquefied natural gas.

Disney Cruise Line’s new ships will usher in the next generation of innovative cruise experiences
Disney said: “Disney Cruise Line’s new ships will usher in the next generation of innovative cruise experiences designed especially for families that will transform the art-of-cruising and take guests on adventures in a way never dreamed of before.”
The cruise line has launched the new ship due to overwhelming demand from holidaymakers.
Walt Disney Parks and Resorts chairman Bob Chapek said: “We decided two ships wouldn’t be enough to hold all of the exciting new experiences we have been dreaming up to take family cruise vacations to a whole new level with immersive Disney storytelling, world-class family entertainment, and imaginative innovations that are fantastically fun and uniquely Disney.”
Disney Cruise Line has been in operation since 1998, with four existing ships in its fleet.
Cruise news: Disney Cruise Line’s new ship will be the seventh addition to its fleet
Earlier this year the cruise operator added a stop on a private island in the Bahamas to its itineraries in 2018.
Castaway Cay has everything one would expect from a luxury island with bike hire, water sports including parasailing and snorkelling, as well as exercise including morning 5K runs and yoga workshops.
Disney’s adventure is included in the seven-day trips that the cruise, which departs from New York, has to offer.
Castaway Cay has also been used in some blockbuster films, including Splash with Tom Hanks, as well as parts of Pirates of the Caribbean.
